A render of the MI-11

The MI-11 is a latest-generation utility helicopter now fielded by Red Star forces. It is multi-role in that its design fits civilian use as well, but the military variant has been given basic armor, side-door weaponry, and a military avionics package to adapt it to military operations.

It is a solid and capable vehicle, well-suited to the job it has been given in the RS military.

The holder sports dual 7.62mm Gatling guns in a defensive left and right 'doorgun' configuration, plus Domovoi Decoy Launchers for defensive measures. The door gunners also have laser target markers, to designate and 'hand off' specific targets.

Overview[]

The RSA's MI-11 is an agile and durable transport helicopter capable of insertion and extraction of RSA troops.

Within the RSA, it is available in civilian versions; however the military version is by far superior to its civilian counterpart, with advanced armor, weapons, and avionics that put it on par with its Western Coalition rival the UH-66 Seneca.

Armament[]

The MI-11 sports two door-mounted miniguns usable by passengers in the rear of the vehicle.

Defense[]

With an advanced Domovoi Decoy Launcher system, the MI-11 is capable of holding out in battle in the right hands.

Behind the Scenes[]

The MI-11 was deisgned by Nathan Campbell and modeled by Brian Burrell while they were employed at Kaos Studios.

The vehicle is referred to in the game's files as "VHR_HEL_MedHeli", with 'VH' standing for vehicle, 'R' for Red Star Alliance, 'HEL' (helicopter) as vehicle type, and 'MedHeli' (medium helicopter) as role.

The MI-11 takes many design elements from the Mil Mi-40 prototype helicopter, with some minor influences belonging to the Nh-90, and the Mi-17 Hip.
