The BTR-110 is a no-nonsense infantry fighting vehicle. It descends from a long ancestry of Soviet/Russian armored personnel carriers (which also includes the first infantry fighting vehicle: the BMP1) that specialize in large-scale infantry-based warfare.
The remotely-controlled auto-cannon turret can make short work of enemy combatants with nearly no risk to its own passengers while a side-mounted medium-sized anti-tank missile can destroy most lightly armored vehicles.
Without question though, the BTR-110's strongest assets are maneuverability, speed, and troop carrying capacity.
Acting as an infantry deployment rallying point, the BTR-110 changes the profile of the battle in a matter of minutes by re-massing the Red Star troops at nearly any location on the frontlines.-- Field Guide text entry
The BTR-110 Cossack is the Red Star Alliance's main infantry fighting vehicle. It is able to safely carry troops into combat zones and allow them to quickly deploy and secure an area but not only carrying them there, but by providing fire support once they are dismounted. The Western Coalition's counterpart is the M4 Powell.
The driver of a BTR-110 has control over a 27mm auto cannon and 130mm laser-guided anti-tank missiles.
The Field Guide lists the Cossack's stats as the following:
- Armor: 3 of 5
- Vehicle Speed: 1 of 5
- Acceleration: 3 of 5
- Crew Capacity: Two
- Main Armament: 3 of 5
- Damage: 3 of 5
- Rate of Fire: 3 of 5
